Our Endtime Call
Jeremiah outlines the endtime call, which when accomplished will have solved the identity crisis. Our challenge as Messianic Forerunners is to implement that call if our generation is to be one that sees its fulfillment. Those shepherds [you only need one sheep to be a shepherd] that YHVH is raising up to regather His scattered people in this hour have the same call Yeshua gave His original band of disciples. He sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of YHVH to the lost sheep of the whole house of Israel (Matthew 10:5; Luke 9:2). We know this call has not been completed because Yeshua said to His disciples, “for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes” (Matthew 10:23). Also, YHVH says, that once all Israel is regathered to their own soil we will no long remember the Exodus from Egypt, which event we all recalled during our last Passover celebration (Jeremiah 23:7). Yeshua’s original band of disciples used words, person-to-person contacts, hand written parchments, and the Roman Roads to reach the lost sheep in their day. Today, our weapons are still words, written and spoken, but we have a much more versatile and effective delivery system, in the printed word, CD’s and DVD’s, the many faceted media and the Internet. Our challenge is how do we most effectively use the tools and resources available to us. Let us start with the realization that the hallmark of lost sheep, is that they are lost. Lost is the past tense of lose, and the primary definition of lose is to be deprived of, or cease to have or retain something. We of the MIA believe that the lost sheep no longer have a complete understanding of their true heritage and purpose. There are many sheep and shepherds in the “Church sheepfolds” who sense that something is missing from their lives, and they are searching for fulfillment. They are questioning the stories they have been told regarding who they are, where they came from and where they are going. It is a bit like coming to the realization that the stories that one has been told about Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny are not true. The question regarding these children stories was, “Now that I am grown-up what story am I going to accept?” We all face the same challenge in the area of Spiritual maturity, “Now that I am grown-up what story am I going to accept regarding my heritage, purpose and ultimate destiny?” Unfortunate, there is a seemingly never-ending supply of identity stories. And it seems that the “literal biblical version” of the identity of the lost sheep that YHVH is regathering receives the least credence. For example, the attitude of the majority of these lost sheep regarding the literal biblical version is: Surely YHVH is not going to limit His promise to Abraham to the fruit from his loins (Genesis 15:4-7). The Angel Gabriel’s description of the kingdom given Yeshua is not complete (Luke 1:31-33). Yeshua did not really mean that He was sent only for the lost sheep of Israel (15:24). Yeshua’s statement that the Father has already established the time when He will restore the kingdom to Israel needs further clarification, as does James assertion that our mission is to restore David’s fallen tent (Acts 1:1-8; Acts 15:15-17). Also, we will find that the disciples received a kingdom far more extensive than the kingdom over Israel, and they will sit on thrones judging far more than the twelve tribes of Israel (Luke 22:29-30). Further, rest assured when we reach the heavenly Jerusalem we will find there are ample gates to accommodate the identity stories proclaimed by the 34,000 different denominations, ministries, cults, and independent churches (Revelation 21:12). What should we believe? According to a poll taken a few years ago of MIA supporters, the overwhelming majority (over 97%) basically believe the literal biblical version, with the understanding that YHVH has, and can add whomsoever He desires to the people He is gathering. After all John the Baptist pointed out that YHVH can raise up children to Abraham from stones; but those polled fully expect that the majority will be actual fruit from Abraham’s loins (Matthew 3:9). Unfortunately, the lost sheep for the most part believe that they are physically descended from anyone other than Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Some have even accepted the evolution story and believe they are descended from a monkey. For those that do see themselves as part of the people of Israel, it is their faith in Jesus, which makes them Spiritual Israelites, and has nothing to do with their genealogy. (Just think ten percent of the First Covenant is wasted on genealogy). Unfortunately, this is the identity story accepted by the vast majority of Christians. The task of the MIA is to encourage these lost sheep, who basically see themselves as Spiritual Israelites, to accept Galatians 3:29 at face value: “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants (the Greek word is sperm), heirs according to promise.” So, even if they were not physical heirs, if they now belong to Jesus Christ, then they are physical heirs. Also, Paul makes the point that we New Covenant Believers, are like Isaac, who was the only child of Abraham and Sarah, children of promise (Galatians 4:28). How does the MIA accomplish this mammoth task? Which task may eventually have some 600,000,000 lost sheep (a tithe of the present world population, and a number sufficient to populate the promise land until there is no more room.) realizing the “literal biblical identity story.” Quite naturally the key is to get the true heritage story in the hands of the lost sheep. What better way to accomplish this than with the books YHVH is providing through Key of David Publishing. The primary book dealing with heritage is Israel Revealed - Reunited and Restored, By Batya Ruth Wootten. This book, and its predecessors, has a history of changing lives, by giving lost sheep a fresh understanding of their heritage. How do we make this identity story available to the lost sheep? Unfortunately. The Christian bookstores and the vast majority of churches have not seen the need for a literal biblically oriented identity story. Their position is identity is not important. It is not who you are, but what you believe. So accept Jesus as your savior and wait for the rapture bus. The book, the Purpose Driven Life, which has as its ultimate goal the acceptance of Jesus as savior has topped twenty one million copies in sales, and the snatched away series of books, which promotes the rapture, have topped sixty million. We too believe in accepting Jesus but we see ourselves as players not spectators waiting for a rapture bus. After all, being born again is the end of your old life (old man or woman) and the start of new life (new man or woman). The good news is we have a better and more accurate story. We are not ugly ducks (Spiritual Israelites with Gentile bodies)! We are beautiful swans, physical Israelites and children of promise just as Isaac is (Galatians 4:28). Realization of this truth that we are not some kind of grafted-in second-class citizens does not change our outward physical appearance but it sure does a work on the inside. We are at war. It is primarily a War of Words. Satan is pouring a torrent out of his mouth (words) to destroy Israel (Rev 12:15). As soldiers of the IAF (Israel Attack Force) we need a battle plan, and we need to have the necessary weapons and ammunition needed to accomplish our assigned mission in the War of Words. The best advice in obtaining our marching orders is to be led by the Ruach. He will supply the resources and give us opportunities to reach Israel’s lost sheep. All of this is to say that, we need to bring lost Ephraim to a knowledge of his heritage, and Judah to knowledge of their Messiah. There are many ways to accomplish this task. Word of mouth, one on one, is always the best and most effective way to impart your message. Giving, or lending someone a book is also extremely effective. Another way to reach out is the “Be a Herald” option. It is an economical, effective first step in awakening Israel’s lost sheep (Rom 10:14-15). This system allows us to follow in Yeshua’s footsteps. Yeshua gave His Father’s Word to the disciples, which the Father had given to Him. By doing this, Yeshua changed the world. By taking the good news to Israel’s lost sheep, it being that they are full and equal citizens of the Israel’s Commonwealth, we too can change the world. The first step in utilizing our "Be a Herald" concept is to visit keyofdavidmarketplace.com. There, you can familiarize yourself with items that you can freely recommend to others. There, you can download the Introduction, Foreword, Table of Contents, and First Chapter of Redeemed Israel - Reunited and Restored. You also can listen to the audio version of the first chapter of that book. If this blesses you, we ask that you then encourage other sheep to visit the website and do the same thing. It may well turnout that the visit will be instrumental in changing not only their life, but also their eternal destiny. The beauty of this plan is that there is no cost to you, or to the person you encourage to visit the site. You will also find that there are many articles and briefings in the Messianic Israel Alliance Newsroom. These can be extremely helpful in insuring that you are an effective in taking full advantage of the unmerited opportunities you have been given. If you have not read the recent articles, "Our Opportunity", and "Changing the World with Words," please take the time to read them. Also, two past Briefings are still timely, "The Battle for Israel – A Numbers Game," and "Mighty Man Ephraim." We appreciate your support and welcome your comments. Angus |
